The Night Orchard

The leaves are a green that reads almost black. A few blossoms stay pale. March painted the sky last, thin enough that the linen shows through.

He worked from drawings made on a walk, not from a photograph. The rows are slightly uneven, which keeps the picture from turning into a pattern.
